Hello there. You might be new to “it’s ok mama”. No worries. Here’s what you need to know: 1) I’m being honest with you. (I promise.) 2) You’re not alone.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
I still find myself wanting to hide. I wish the wall that I so carefully built stayed intact. I wish I could remove myself from the feeling and just be.
However, that ^^^ is why I should not.
Someone reading this – maybe you (it’s ok if it’s you) – desires to stay hidden. You feel stuck, unable to process even the minute thoughts racing through your brain. You feel uncertain, guilty and sad. You feel anxious. It is as if your heart is about to burst out of your throat. You are on the brink of an emotional explosion, as though you must say SOMETHING lest you melt from all the feels, but you cannot.
This is where I am 99 percent of the time. If I can help at least one human not feel this way, it’s worth it. It’s worth me getting uncomfortably real with strangers and friends alike. It’s worth every upset, giddy, anxious, defeated, and ecstatic moment. YOU are worth it.
So if today (or any day) you’re stuck, I’m here – virtually or physically (if you are geographically near) – and I want to help you out of the dark pit you just can’t seem to escape. I want you to have a night out and not feel like you want to run away from everyone/everything. I want you to have good days, not just good moments. I told you – you are not alone, dear friend.
If you would like to connect with me but don’t want to be vulnerable with all of the interwebs, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, thank you for reading my words. I wish I could give each of you a hug and buy you some coffee. You all are gems.
